What
is TAFFL COED?
2. What about my roster?
3.
How old do I have to be to play in TAFFL?
4. How much does it cost to play?
5. If I get injured, who will pay
any necessary medical bills?
6. I don't have a team to register, can I
still play?
7. I don't see my question.
1. TAFFL COED is the mixed gender version of our extremely popular Triangle Area Flag Football League. TAFFL COED is open to men and women looking for yet another way to enjoy the outdoors, meet and network with new people, and mostly to enjoy the game they love. The game style is a unique 6-on-6 screen version of Flag Football, where players not only get a one-of-a-kind experience on the field, but with a completely interactive website, featuring games, contests, polls and more, a TAFFL COED participant also receives a very special experience off the field.
Games are tentatively set to be
played on Sunday mornings and afternoons at
Biltmore Hill Community Park, 2615 Fitzgerald Drive, Raleigh 27610 starting
May 11th, 2008. A typical
Sunday will consist of an average of three (or more games - number of registered teams
dependent). Game days usually run between 10am - 1pm. Your team’s game time
will usually rotate week to week.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event that Venue Location and/or
scheduled game times change prior to the season, you and your team captain will
be notified accordingly.
2. A TAFFL COED roster should contain a minimum of six (6) players and a maximum of fourteen (14). As three (3) females are required on the field at a time, we would suggest having more than three (3) females per roster, so they do not have to play the entire game (unless they want to of course).
3. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in TAFFL Coed.
4. Registration to participate in the TAFFL COED will be set at $50.00 per person per season. Your league fees go towards required insurance (Liability - NOT health or injury), field reservations, incidentals, and other administrative costs to run and maintain the league.
Teams may choose to purchase team jerseys, screen-printed t-shirts, shorts, etc., however these costs will be separate and in addition to your registration fees and are not required or mandated by the League.
5. Although the TAFFL COED staff has taken an undetermined amount of precautions to provide you with a fun, yet SAFE game and environment, please remember you are playing at your own risk! Injuries can and may occur. You will be required to sign a player waiver absolving TAFFL COED, MOC Sports, and the playing venue of any monetary damages resulting from injury prior to playing.
6. Registration types for TAFFL COED include team and individual options. A person who does not have a team to register, should register as an individual and once your registration is received you will be placed in a pool of other individually registered players or 'FREE AGENTS'. A Free Agent is then eligible to sign with any team that expresses an interest in drafting them. In the past, individual registrants have made up entire teams in our male version of the game.
In the event that you do not have enough players to field a team and you have friends who are interested in playing and you would like to be on the same team, they must also complete a FREE pre-registration form, however both/all of you should notate in the comment section of the pre-registration form, the names of the player(s) that you would like to remain on the same with.
