Each week ME - the Resident Oddzmaker will give you the skinny on games for the week.  There will be analysis, team breakdowns, the lines and more.   You will also be able to find the lines themselves in the latest version of THE WIRE. This is strictly for entertainment purposes only...don't think you can bet on the games, because you can't.

Season VII - Week 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Not doing too well this season, but you know I'm going to get on track...starting now...here we go.

Week 3
Game: Strikers (0-2) vs. Bad Boys (1-1) Strikers by 6
Analysis: The only weakness now for the Strikers is at QB...nothing personal Buzzard, but you either got to step your game up with the talent around you or they will only be as good as you are. A very tough and 'close' loss to Dazz last week shows that the recruiting efforts of Usher and Big 'O' paid off...and Usher get Heflin in the game...I got a feeling he could be the truth.  As for the Bad Boys...it now all depends on who plays QB...never thought that would be an issue with this team...but things looked a little different when E. Hood was behind center...not to mention with the Strikers new and improved pass rush...Duke is not going to survive in the pocket.
Final: 26-19 Strikers

Week 3
Game: Average Joes (0-2) vs. Reservoir Dogs (0-2)

Reservoir Dogs by 13

Analysis: If the Dogs can play like they played against the Titans...this will not be a contest at all.  Rumor has Kyle Mitchell out again...and it looks without him...this team cannot compete.  The Dogs despite a slow start...look to be getting on track and Rush could be legitimate.  Once he starts surveying the field a bit better, watch out.  The Dogs' defense has got to step up this week as well...doesn't do any good for the offense to get better and put points on the board if the defense let's the opposing team do the same, although that shouldn't be a worry this week.  I just feel bad that I don't have anything good to say about the Joes just yet and hope they will get right soon...doesn't get any easier for them.
Final: 33 - 12 Reservoir Dogs

Week 3
Game: Assault (2-0) vs. Triangle Triggermen (1-1)

Assault by 18

Analysis: Oh Boy...A gun battle...which I think the Triggermen will bring a knife too.  But wait...Bergman is out...doesn't matter.  The Triggermen have fooled me twice this season.  I picked them to lose they win impressively, I picked them to win and they lose decisively.  Can you guys make up your mind...are you going to be good or bad.  Luckily it won't matter this week, because even if you ARE good, you're not good enough to beat the Assault yet...Bergman or not...I expect Hall and Sellars to have a monster game and predict at least 8 sacks...
Final: 49 - 20 Assault

Week 3
Game: Raleigh Thunder vs. Crush

Raleigh Thunder by 6

Analysis: The funny thing here is that although we got the Thunder favored by 6, I would not be surprised if they lose.  I am just not seeing any fire from this team.  Dumas has not even touched the endzone and Borowitz is just quietly getting the job done.  Was totally surprised to see only 20 points put against the Chargers and the defense had no sting.  What's going on?  The Crush on the other hand are still on my favorites list and I am not sure why they were a little flat against Raw Talent, but I think they will provide the Thunder more competition then they can handle.
Final: 26 - 20 Raleigh Thunder

Week 3
Game: Dazz (2-0) vs. Da Zoo (1-1)

Dazz by 11

Analysis: Not much to say for this one...Dazz has too many weapons...well that's if they're full roster shows up to play.  Not sure if I like the idea of Ken Little playing defense..don't ask me why.  Overton'El has got to find more options than Alston...he's getting too fixated on him and as such is not moving the ball well.  Dobbins has stepped up to be the big man on campus, but he cannot do it by himself.
Final: 33 - 20 Dazz

Week 3
Game: Da Inc. (1-1) vs. Carolina Chargers (0-2)

Carolina Chargers by 1

Analysis: I know Troy Blaser has Da Inc. turned around in a such a short period of time and they are a tough bunch of cookies.  However, the Chargers have done the same.  I know the 0-2 record would make most pick against them, but if you've seen them play you would think twice.  A last second loss to the Titans and only losing by one score to the Thunder has me convinced that they are ready to ball.  I think the Thunder and the Titans are a wee bit better than Da Inc. (nothing personal Que) - hence me going with the Chargers.  David Gates is turning out to be the truth and Gidney is just one or two athletes short of being complete.
Final: 21 - 20 Carolina Chargers

Week 3
Game: Raleigh Woodpeckers (1-1) vs. Chaos (0-2)

Raleigh Woodpeckers by 8

Analysis: Chaos...don't know which way to SWING on this one.  Meaning I'm going to pick the PECKERS although I don't know if the competition you provide will be STIFF or not.  You guys just keep coming up LIMP and just not the same team we saw in the tourney.  The PECKERS played a SOFT Triggermen team last week, but looked resERECTed from their week one loss to the Assault.  Although in the end, I think this will be a HARD fought victory and I have to go with RWP.
Final: 26 - 18 Raleigh Woodpeckers

Week 3
Game: Titans (2-0) vs. Raw Talent (2-0)

Raw Talent by 5

Analysis: Game of the week right herrrre!  Battle of the undefeateds...First place up for grabs (with the Thunder in the wings...but we're not talking about them right now).  The Titans despite being 2-0 are barely squeaking by, and if not for the heroics of De'Qaiun Walker could easily be 0-2.  Raw Talent on the other hand, showed some of this team's true potential against the Crush last week.  If that team shows up and plays then the Titans could have their hands full.  Right now I think it's about consistency and Raw Talent has the edge in that category, hence my pick.  Although I haven't really seen how Talent QB Quincy Pedew performs under a heavy rush...could that make a difference.
Final: 30 - 24 Raw Talent
