Each week ME - the Resident Oddzmaker will give you the skinny on games for the week.  There will be analysis, team breakdowns, the lines and more.   You will also be able to find the lines themselves in the latest version of THE WIRE. This is strictly for entertainment purposes only...don't think you can bet on the games, because you can't.

"Damn...I sucked last week...it's always hard the first week, especially with all the new teams..although as Arnold told us...'I'll Be Back'"

Week 2
Game: Raw Talent (1-0) vs. Crush (1-0) Crush by 12
Analysis: Last week, I told you I didn't know much about this Crush team...well a lot has changed in a week.  This is an early season pick as a team to watch out for.  QB Adam Bailey is the truth (so far) and Lofland is a beast.  Raw Talent...has talent, true...but something is missing, meaning we keep expecting a lot more, but just keeping 'mediocrity'.  Team to watch out for, one ups, mediocrity this week.
Final: 34 - 19 Crush

Week 2
Game: Assault (1-0) vs. Chaos (0-1)

Assault by 24

Analysis: First, I will admit they didn't have the 'RIGHT' personnel.  And yes things will be a bit slowed down with Bergman out.  However, we've seen this scenario before.  They have a bad game, the teams and the writers start talking and sleeping and then the next team has to suffer for it.  I see the statisticians and other writers have added them to the ICE COLD list and we know what that means....Chaos you're in trouble.  A very disappointing showing from Chaos in Week 1, has me eating my words of a week ago...I am sure they will rebound as I still believe this is a good team.  Just won't be this week.
Final: 38 - 12 Assault

Week 2
Game: Reservoir Dogs (0-1) vs. Titans (1-0)

Titans by 3

Analysis: Oh boy....one of these games.  Dogs, can we get this ship right? You know I can't possibly pick you this week either...not because the Titans are good or you're bad, (which I thought you both would be better - but still can't shake the fact that the Titans let a 6-man Chargers team take them to the wire - and the Dogs have only scored 14 points in 4 TAFFL games, that's a horrible 3.5 points a game average and we don't even kick field goals)...so my pick is based on the Titans being able to score and the Dogs not being able to score.  If it wasn't for Da Inc. showing signs of promise...this would definitely have been my channel changing game of the week.
Final: 24 - 12 Titans

Week 2
Game: Bad Boys (0-1) vs. Da Zoo (1-0)

Bad Boys by 11

Analysis: The Boys cost me a point last week.  I just pray it won't be one of those seasons.  Up and down and up and down.  I probably should have picked Dazz, because they are a good team...but I just knew the speed and the experience of the Bad Boys with the game would prevail. PSYCHE!!! Take it how you want too...but when Duke learns better mechanics as a QB and realize that he can't just stand in the pocket, and I mean stand....I've never seen a QB ever stand flat flatfooted with no movement and throws off his backfoot as much as Mr. Duke...he'll never put any juice on his balls this way.  Whoa...let me rephrase that...his throws will never have any juice on them with the poor mechanics.  It amazes me that he's not sacked more often.  Da Zoo are no pushovers finally, but defense still has some work to do, and that will be the difference in this game.  Alston is a beast and is continuing his bid from his ROY campaign a season ago.
Final: 28 - 18 Bad Boys

Week 2
Game: Carolina Chargers (0-1) vs. Raleigh Thunder (1-0)

Raleigh Thunder by 18

Analysis: Captain Berry finally stacked a good enough team to make a run for that Championship this season.  They go 2-0 this week.  Despite a helluva effort from the Chargers in Week 1...six men won't get it done against the Thunder, actually ten men won't either.  This is one of those picks where again, it's not a reflection on how bad a team is, but more on how good a team is...the Thunder are good.  Although if Gidney and the Chargers pick-up a few more players and play like they did in Week 1...it should be a good season for them and potentially they may see the playoffs.
Final: 48 - 14 Raleigh Thunder

Week 2
Game: Dazz (1-0)  vs. Strikers (0-1)

Dazz by 30

Analysis: Orlando Adwaters ... Don't Give Up, Don't Ever Give Up.  This could get ugly.  Strikers you need players. Enough said.
Final: 50 - 6 Dazz

Week 2
Game: Da Inc. (0-1) vs. Average Joes (0-1)

Da Inc. by 13

Analysis: Yes I said it!!! Da Inc. by 13.  Troy Blaser...wow!  That's all I am going to say about this guy!  Que, finally huh?!  Get that defense right and we might see a new team this season in Da Inc.  Rumormill has a key Joe out this week, so that's going to make it tougher. for them.  Also, the League Front Office might need to check some Joes IDs on Sunday as well.  This League is for men 18 and up.  Some of you look like you're 12.  Mitchell did you hit up your local Pop Warner league for players.
Final: 28 - 12 Da Inc.

Week 2
Game: Triangle Triggermen (1-0) vs. Raleigh Woodpeckers (0-1)

Triangle Triggermen by 6

Analysis: Tough, tough game to pick.  I like the Peckers...hehe I said Peckers...despite the loss...I think they will compete in this League.  The Triggermen surprised me...not saying they wouldn't, but I didn't know what to expect and they were the most precise team of the day, in my opinion.  So on that note, I have to pick someone...I will go with the Woodpeckers because I think they match up just a little bit (and I mean a little bit) better than the Triggermen...although I think that Steck is a better QB than Aptt.  Aptt here's a hint for you...in this league, unless you know you're going to hand the ball off...I would not advise going under center...when you get a monster rush coming at you, you will not have time to drop back.  You'll see.  I'm worried about this pick.  And here's a first for the Resident Oddzmaker...a change in my pick...I'm going with the Triggermen....my gut is telling me differently than my match up analysis.  Got to go with my gut.
Final: 26 - 20 Triangle Triggermen
